Eurythmics (often incorrectly referred to as The Eurythmics) is a British musical duo, formed in 1980 by Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. The pair have achieved significant global, commercial and critical success, selling 80 million records worldwide, winning numerous awards, and have undertaken several successful world tours. They are noted for their intelligent pop songs, which showcase Lennox's powerful and expressive alto voice, and Stewart's innovative production techniques. They are also acclaimed for their promotional videos and visual presentation.

The pair had first worked together in the mid-1970s. During this time, they were also romantic partners. The Tourists, the band they were in, achieved modest commercial success, but the experience was reportedly an unhappy one.

Mylène Farmer born Mylène Jeanne Gautier (September 12, 1961), in Montreal, Canada, is a French singer, songwriter, occasional actress and author. She has sold 25 million records and is among the most successful recording artists of all time in France.

Mylène Gautier was born in Pierrefonds, Quebec, Canada, a suburb (now borough) of Montreal. Her parents moved from France to Canada in the late 1950s as Farmer's father, Max, pursued an engineering contract on a dam. Her family returned to France when she was eight, settling in the Parisian suburb of Ville-d'Avray. In her teenage years, Farmer was passionate about horse-riding, going on to qualify as a riding instructor at the equestrian centre in Saumur.

Madonna is well-known for her works that explore religious symbolism and sexual themes. In 1992, she founded an entertainment company, Maverick, whose first publication is a book of erotic photographs (Sex). She also released a studio album (Erotica) and starred in a film (Body of Evidence) with erotic themes. These works generated negative critical publicity, opposition from the Roman Catholic Church, and coincided with a fall in commercial sales in the early to mid 1990s.

Sandra Ann Lauer professionally known as "Sandra", is a popular German singer/songwriter, currently living in Ibiza (Spain).

After enjoying some success as lead singer of the disco trio Arabesque, Sandra began performing under her solo name in 1984. She can also be heard on her husband Michael Cretu's project Enigma. They have two sons (twins), Nikita and Sebastian, born July 6, 1995. Sandra and Michael divorced in November 2007, citing 'personal and professional differences'.
